Joe D. Dowdy is Chief of Staff in the Office of the Director at NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Fla., a position he assumed in February 2007. He manages special projects and provides organizational advice to the center director and the Senior Management Team to improve processes and better accomplish KSC's assigned missions.Dowdy joined NASA after serving 25 years in the United States Marine Corps and capped his military career as a colonel. During his service in the Marine Corps, Dowdy served in a variety of staff and command positions.
